ABC News photojournalist Chris Plater, a witness to the scene after two National Guardsmen were shot in D.C.: "One person said something like, you know, man, the guy went up there and started shooting at the National Guard. I didn't get to talk to him, but I didn't get to, you know, know who he was. But it seemed like he suggested that somebody went up and started shooting at the National Guard." "One National Guard was lying on his side. They were rendering aid to him. He wasn't moving, but he was on his side.
