What happens if your streaming PC suddenly throws a tantrum and shuts off or stops responding over remote desktop? Do you have an HDMI Switcher to move back to that PC just to get it fixed up? Or do you have a way for it to fix itself if it shuts off? (This is super cool, just something I thought about)

Honest question. Cause I’m genuinely curious and new to that. What’s the benefits with dual PC/towers? Do you use one for like streaming and the other for gaming/other content?

I want to do this but if there’s a tech issue I feel like it would be a headache But better performance for gaming sounds so nice

Contingency when your gaming PC crashes and you can't see the streaming PC to do anything?

Remote desktop is fine, however you lose one of the biggest benefits of dual pc. If the game pc crashes or has to update you wont be able to see anything on the stream pc until its done. For that reason i would rather just have at least one dedisated monitor for the stream pc 🫡

I've been thinking about doing it for so long but the "I never want to do it again" is the feeling that I will have while doing it.

I kept my old pc but it is 12 years old. It has an intel i7 8700k and a gtx 1080ti and 32 GB of ram. Do you think it would be worth it for me, as a streamer, to have that pc simply record and stream? I used to stream right off of it but i got a new gaming pc Aug 2025.
