@MCYeeehaaa @kevinblake2011 I got charged £2.50 just to collect my tickets at the track. Their greed knows no bounds. I won't be back next year out of principle. Enough is enough. And I'm what you would call hardcore. Bollocks to them.

£130 for Gold Cup day & they have the nerve to charge you a collection fee on top. A race card should be included in the admission price too.

The pricing of the festival itself isn't really an issue, it's the cost of accommodation within a 20 mile radius of the place that's the problem

The prices at the festival play a big part, but the fact you can’t get a hotel anywhere near the course for a reasonable price is the biggest factor

Pricing issue is only the start. If you want to get near the horses, each day will cost you circa £100. The food and drink prices need reviewing too. £7.40 for a 0% Guinness and £3.10 for a can of coke. £14 for an overcooked burger made to sound fancy.

The industry needs to remember 2022 crowds are not the ‘gold standard’. That year was an awful experience for all of us on course and prompted a cutting of the max capacity. 55,000 a day should be the target as that is the sweetspot of atmosphere, sense of occasion and comfort.

Also, look at the cost of getting from the station to the course. A few years back, a return on the bus was £3.50. Last year was £5 or £6. This year was £10! Taxis can charge whatever they like and even more on the way back to the station. Should be a set price agreed before!

Go back to 3 days. All racing festivals have become corporate events, with prices to match! For the revival of everyday racing I'd personally bring in £10 pensioner admittance, Mon-Fri all courses, except festival meetings.

It is £15 for fish and chips £10 a pint Etc Etc Etc Make it like the Masters Golf Nothing sold inside can be more expensive than average price outside

@CheltenhamRaces are simply fleecing race goers, but it’s not just them, all the big @TheJockeyClub racecourses are doing the same, they think they’re immune from global financial pressures and people will pay whatever they ask
