Is this your "visible" Church of Christ? I recently finished compiling this 12 minute video of typical "Masses" and liturgical services in the Novus Ordo sect of which Prevost is the head. It's a very small sample of hundreds of similar clips I've saved over the past couple of years. With few exceptions, these clips only include things which are seen on a day-to-day basis in the Novus Ordo. I've taken the clips from many different countries and languages to show that these things are not merely abuses in some part of the world but are a defining characteristic of the entire Novus Ordo sect. You will see not only "priests" but many "bishops" participating in these behaviors. These are not isolated abuses opposed by the "hierarchy," as some Novus Ordo apologists claim. This is normal Novus Ordo behavior fully supported by that sect and its "hierarchy" from the lowest parish "priest" to the "pope." You'll notice the following are pretty standard: 1) Altar girls 2) Women ministers of "communion" and even of blessings and sacramentals (even giving ashes to the "priest"!) 3) Inculturation of pagan practices, secular songs, and dance into the "Mass." 4) Drums, guitars, clapping are ubiquitous. 5) Evident lack of belief in the Real Presence. These clips are nearly indistinguishable from Protestant services aside from the presence of statues of saints in some churches. In fact, it is so hard to tell the difference that it is possible I might have let a clip or two slip through that are from some Protestant denomination despite going to considerable trouble to confirm the source of each video. The plain and simple truth is that the Novus Ordo sect is just another heretical Protestant religion. If you are struggling with accepting the #sedevacante conclusion because you say that would be the end of the visible Church, I ask you to consider what makes the Catholic Church visible? Do "Masses" with drums, altar girls, laywomen ministers and faithless "priest presiders" make a church the visible Church of Christ? In that case, why don't we accept the Lutherans or Anglicans as the visible Church since they have these same things and the same appearance of order and hierarchy as the Novus Ordo does? No. The Catholic Church is visible because she has four visible, i.e. clearly identifiable, marks. Her members and her hierarchy of bishops and priests are recognizable through the outward profession of the same Faith, the same worship, and submission to the same authority, i.e., during a vacancy, the true Popes of the past and willingness to submit to the next true Pope. The mere absence of a Pope for the time being does not make the Church less visible or identifiable. But if she could ever become what you see in this video, she would indeed be visible, but not as Catholic. She would be a defected church. Christ has promised us this could never happen. Christ has promised us that the Novus Ordo is not and never can be the Catholic Church. If you believe the religion seen in this video is Christ's Church just because you can "see" it, then the modernists have succeeded in forming an entirely new idea of Christ's Church in your mind, one which is not the spotless Bride of Christ mentioned by St. Paul.

The Novus Ordo, when celebrated according to the Church's liturgical norms, is a beautiful, reverent, and valid celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Reverence is not determined by the form of the Mass alone, but by the faith, devotion, and fidelity with which it is celebrated.

This is a Novus Ordo church Cardinal. I honestly believe their lack of spiritual dignity of office is in part due to their invalid orders. Valid ordination doesn’t make one a saint, but it does bring graces and good fruits which the Novus Ordo clergy clearly lack.

The Church is not free to change what Christ Himself established. Pope Paul VI stated it with clarity: “The Church holds that it is not admissible to ordain women to the priesthood, for very fundamental reasons. The greatest human person after Christ is a woman: the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is the highest creature, the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven, and the perfect model of the Church. No priest, bishop, or pope surpasses her in holiness or importance. The Church has always honored the unique and irreplaceable dignity of women — as mothers, as consecrated virgins, as teachers, as mystics, as the heart of the domestic church, and as the ones who so often carry the faith forward when men fail. Male and female are not interchangeable roles in the order of grace. They are complementary. The priesthood is a fatherly office. The Church herself is maternal. I disagreed with Dan’s point here. To dismiss conservative support for Donald Trump as mere infatuation with personality is to engage in a vulgar form of reductionism. It is an insult not only to the intelligence of the conservative voter but to the seriousness with which they approach questions of governance, order, and national sovereignty. The conservatives I know are not beguiled by charisma, they are moved by their values. They value the restoration of sovereignty, the preservation of cultural continuity, and the reassertion of common sense in public life. To caricature them as thoughtless followers is to overlook the deep moral and philosophical commitments that inform their choices.

If you pay close attention, you'll notice that the church does not have a tabernacle because it is still under construction and has not yet been dedicated. The reason I post these videos is to show that while there are a few priests who do not celebrate the Mass with the reverence it deserves, there are many more who do. We should not allow the actions of a few to create the false impression that the Novus Ordo Mass is inherently irreverent. My diocese is blessed with priests who celebrate the Holy Mass with profound reverence and deep love for the Eucharist. The same can be said of countless parishes across Nigeria and, indeed, throughout Africa.

In the July 29, 2026 Q&A, Bp. Donald Sanborn explicitly taught an error on the source of jurisdiction for confession which all pre-V2 theologians held to be "false and intolerable." This is the error of "jurisdictio ligata," or the theory that every priest receives in ordination itself all jurisdiction over every penitent so that nothing more—in the way of ecclesiastical jurisdiction received from a superior in the Church—is necessary for validity, and that the Church merely binds or restrict this power so that it cannot ordinarily be used. This theory holds that the only reason a priest "normally" needs "faculties" or "permission" from the Church to absolve is because she "binds" or "restricts" this divinely given power so that it can only be exercised in a specific location. Bp. Sanborn takes this even further in a gratuitous leap in stating that, whenever the bishop of a diocese is absent, this restriction is not present, because there is no authority to "restrict" this power of the priest, so any priest can freely absolve any penitent in that case. It is unfortunate that any educated member of the clergy would attempt to defend such an error today when it has for centuries been universally rejected and was only revived in recent times by certain heretics such as the Jansenists. Galtier, an author who wrote much on the sacrament of penance and was very familiar with the history of the opinions of theologians on this matter, has an excellent passage discussing this error in his 1956 treatise, De paenitentia, published by the Pontifical Gregorian University. Galtier comments as follows: “As if the Church binds the jurisdiction given by Christ Himself by virtue of ordination itself, by prohibiting penitents from subjecting themselves to priests besides those whom she herself wills, by assigning subjects. — But this is false and intolerable: for the Church cannot so bind the power granted by Christ Himself that its act would be invalid" (Galtier, De paenitentia, #536). It is an unfortunate fact that Thesis clergy at times simply make up theology as they go and as needed for the Thesis, without squaring it with the actual teaching of theologians. The ultimate norm seems to be defending the Thesis at all cost. Nothing else can explain how opinions like this could be expressed by these priests when we all know from our seminary studies that they are universally rejected. Those from the Novus Ordo, SSPX, or other R&R who have been looking at the Thesis as a possible theological solution that checks all the boxes should understand that it will in no way solve their theological anxieties. It will not satisfy an intellect looking for an explanation of how they have jurisdiction for confession, or how they can reject the Novus Ordo "hierarchy," or how apostolicity or visibility continue. The true, and only, Catholic teaching is that a priest must receive jurisdiction from an authority in the Church in order to validly hear confessions. There is no way to explain this away as if it is ever unnecessary. It is a divinely established requirement. This is why SSPX also completely lost the battle to Sisco and Salza over the matter of jurisdiction. As long as they say Prevost and his predecessors are true Popes, they have absolutely no way to explain how they can validly absolve penitents. When a true Pope explicitly denies you jurisdiction, you have none. Zero! On the other hand, it is the standard teaching of theologians, notably Lainez, SJ, that the Church (i.e the will of the Popes) supplies jurisdiction when necessary "for the building up of the Church" and "lest souls perish." It was on this grounds that theologians commonly taught supplied jurisdiction in cases of common error and doubt, even before it was inserted in the Canon Law of the Church. This will to grant jurisdiction when necessary lest souls be lost is the true explanation for how priests today, in times of apostasy and a long vacancy in the papacy, have jurisdiction for confession as well as other instances where it is needed for the same purposes. Yet, the Thesis priests are determined to reject this as the source of jurisdiction for their absolution of penitents, because the idea of supplied jurisdiction in this way, or any way, would lead to the dismantling of the Thesis. They are insistent that we are simply garbage men and sacrament machines with no jurisdiction, because this would mean we must look to the Novus Ordo as the one with authority to solve this situation. What a depressing Thesis so inconsistent with the very nature and purpose of the Church!
