James Gandolfini’s final film was The Drop. His performance is breathtaking. Part of why I still have a hard time accepting Gandolfini’s passing is because he had so, so much more to give. Gandolfini found his post-Sopranos groove. Films like Killing Them Softly, Enough Said & The Drop resulted in some of the best work of Jim’s career. I don’t think I’ll ever get over his passing.

The IDF said Hamdan played a central role in Hamas' hostage-holding apparatus, participated in transferring hostages during release deals, and documented captives during release ceremonies. He was also linked to the earlier captivity of Avera Mengistu and ran propaganda operations for Hamas' Khan Younis Brigade. --- Given what the IDF said, it is likely that Hamdan was a member of Hamas's Shadow Unit. It is a division that specializes in holding captives. It would be a notable elimination. I also found a photo of him at a Hamas funeral some years back.
