I think we must have had it pretty good in the 80s because all my pictures have me in pretty neutral girls baby clothes. Even though l think the stuff today is cuter it does seem like it’s been engineered to exploit little girls since at least the 00s.

I get what she’s saying, but also they’re just fun for themselves too, no? Like, little girls enjoy having fun clothes. My daughter has a one piece swimsuit with the sequin flip thing, and she loves to choose what color the sequins are and play with it.

As someone tht prefer shopping from male section this is accurate most of female clothing are made of inferior quality material and most of them feel extremely uncomfortable to wear while their largest consumer chunk is females btw!

My boy has a dinosaur sweater that has the color changing sequence he loves it he has ADD and he loves to play with it hes also extremely shy and hates initiating conversation and it gives him an opening to talk to other kids about the sweater

I think yall are sexualising things that shouldn’t be. Even I’ve always dislike physical contact with others but children are not doing that stuff maliciously. Also those interactive types of shirts are just more likely to sell as those are more fun and interesting with kids

I had shirts like that in the 90s. They were for me to touch. Not others. I called one my "gummy bear" shirt. I'm not saying it's not that deep, but YOU can teach your kids boundaries and consent. YOU can tell them not to let other kids touch them and still get them the shirt.

The boy shirt she tried to use as an example has the same inviting patches on the front.

It may NOT be that deep, but if it means her kid is safer then its worth it. Kids can sensory seek elsewhere besides clothes. It doesnt have to be that deep to protect kids.
