I've read about this, actually! the original line was a simple "Thank You" in Japan, but the US changed it to her saying "I love you"! I really should play this game in Japanese sometime... even if I need to use a Fan Translation of the Original Japanese Script for it. 🙇🏼‍♂️

A lot of anime shows dubbed into English are often very "woke". However, the official English dub of "Ghost Stories" is completely crazy lol. The original show in Japanese is nothing like this.
