It is utterly wrong that a student society at UCL is hosting an event on campus to ‘commemorate the fallen’ of the Iranian regime. I raised this matter with the Education Secretary today. She replied with weakness, evasion and a refusal to take any action.

Jewish students at UCL are facing comments such as “October 7th was justified and reasonable” and “Hamas is not a terrorist organisation”. When this was reported, a student was told that the remarks were simply “an expression of a view on a highly publicised matter” and took no action. I don’t think that President Trump is going to take a deal at all with this Islamic regime in Iran. I think he is just buying time to economically strangle this regime, to allow more infighting, and to give a chance to the Iranian people to take their country back. I think that’s where Trump is going. I don’t think he is actually going to make a deal with anybody in this regime.
