Kemi!!!!!!!! Your children could easily get a certificate of local origin and an NIN number by the virtue of your own birth certificate and local government certificate of origin.

Chapter 3, section 25 & subsection C clearly states that she is lying 🤥. It says every person born outside of Nigeria “Either” of whose parents is a citizen of Nigeria can automatically inherit the Citizenship of Nigeria.

A lot of her public statements carry a sharp tone almost like they're aimed to provoke or distance herself from anything tied to her background. It’s one thing to be firm or principled, but when it starts sounding bitter or targeted, it’s hard to see it as leadership and not just resentment with a mic.

Not only is she ignorant of the Nigerian immigration laws, but she is acting verociously on that same ignorance. Perhaps this same ignorance triggered her deep intolerance towards Nigerians coming into the UK. Ignorance is the biggest disease there is!

Kemi is damn Right Nigeria’s citizenship laws treat foreign spouses differently based on gender. While a foreign woman married to a Nigerian man can acquire citizenship through registration, a foreign man married to a Nigerian woman is not granted the same right —instead, he must undergo a lengthy naturalization process. This disparity, outlined in Section 26(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution, has been criticized as discriminatory

I don't even understand what she's saying exactly. Is she condemning gender based discrimination with regards to citizenship or she's praising it?

Why do @KemiBadenoch always like to talk down on her country ? Your own mother took advantage and today its like you feel its your mandate to destroy the system. Nigeria Government of today is making it easy to get nationality if you want to and stop the lies .. Even @officialABAT will grant you Presidential part to it if you want it. @RishiSunak can never say this about his country .. This is own goal from you @KemiBadenoch and try to focus on other areas apart from immigration for its too much and some @Conservatives members no longer want her.. see latest pool..

Section 25 of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution states that any child born inside or outside Nigeria to at least one Nigerian parent is a Nigerian citizen by birth.

What exactly is Kemi’s problem? At this point I think she is not okay at all. It’s befuddling and jarring when those who speak against/for Nigeria have lost with the reality in Nigeria and in her case she has no touch at all with Nigeria. Indians/Chinese have the highest number of immigrants in the UK. She doesn’t want them to get hold of her for calling immigrants parasites, taking advantage of the UK and milking the system under pretence.

Why is she only mentioning Nigeria all the damn time? Are Nigerians the only people in the UK? Imagine that she’s an Igbo lady, southwest hatefilled lying media and their tweeter mob would have descended on the entire Igbo race across the globe. I hope you all learn a lesson!

It is false that her kids can't be citizens of Nigeria. If a child is born outside Nigeria to a Nigerian mother, they are still eligible for Nigerian citizenship by birth. They can apply for registration as a Nigerian citizen if they meet certain requirements, such as one of the parents being a Nigerian citizen. Nigeria primarily follows the principle of jus sanguinis, meaning citizenship is acquired through parentage, specifically by birth to Nigerian parents and this applies whether the child is born in Nigeria or abroad

She got her citizenship on the first day of her life because her parents traveled to UK with the sole purpose of giving birth to her there so she can become a British citizen. Her whole hesistence was possible because her parents exploited the system. Look into the mirror Kemi

Madam @KemiBadenoch You interview exposed your lack of research and your inability to defend the correct policies. Apparently as a Nigerian by the constitution of your country ( Nigeria 🇳🇬) your children can also be Nigerian, if you just applied for their citizenship, instead of lying in national tv that they can’t become Nigerian citizens. Maybe you are just a black face of colonialism @KemiBadenoch

she can't pass her Nigerian citizenship to her children because she is a woman, our country practices patriarchal system and probably her husband is not a Nigerian. That is, the law only allows a child to inherit the origin of his or her father in Nigeria

If you’re Nigerian why can’t u give the citizenship to your children ? Or did u renounce your citizenship ?

Congressman Wesley Hunt says he is a descendant of slaves, and he says the way Birthright Citizenship is being used right now in America is destroying the value of American Citizenship “There's a difference between giving citizenship to the children of slaves, the children of those subject to the middle passage, the children of sharecroppers and the children of those who are once considered property and giving citizenship to the children of people who crossed the border illegally staying in taxpayer-funded luxury hotels. There's a big difference. My great-great-grandfather was born on a plantation rose down plantation in Louisiana. He had to join the Union color guard to gain his freedom by morphing the citizenship clause, and it's something that it wasn't meant to be. It's demeaning to descendants of slaves like me. We are talking about a direct descendant of a slave that earned, earned the right to be in this country and passed that ilk down to his ancestry. People bled for it and it means something. The purpose of President Trump's birthright citizenship executive order is that the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment was never meant to apply to children of illegal or legal aliens. Allowing birthright citizenship to stay in place dilutes the citizenship of not just black Americans like me, but every single American citizen. They had to earn it the right way. Let's say this in black and white. Either you're a u.s citizen or you are not. Now the left has spent decades cheapening what it means to be an American citizen. They have quite literally been chipping away at the basic value of American citizenship. They pretend to be altruistic, but we know the truth.”
