It is worth watching this CNN video from the moment Emory Econ Professor Caroline Fohlin came across the violent arrest of a protester on campus and asked the police, with shock, "What are you doing?" That's all that prompted an officer to hurl her to the ground and handcuff her.

DeKalb, Georgia court records show Fohlin, the Emory professor seen on video being thrown to the ground and handcuffed by an Emory police officer for expressing concern at the violent arrest of a protester, was jailed for 11 hours and charged with "Battery Against Police Officer"

@WajahatAli @CarolineFohlin The cop she was questioning had his knee on the head of the person being cuffed.

@jimsciutto @CarolineFohlin That man hates women. You can see it is in his face. This arrest is all about power.

What right did she have to interfere with the cops?

Talking to the police while an officer is kneeling on the head of a protester is not interfering, it is potentially preventing a murder.

@tksshawa @CarolineFohlin That officers knee on that person's face. Three police officers on an unarmed protestor, that's what she was trying to stop.

@CarolineFohlin I did not know CNN was covering these events truthfully. I’m glad to know they are coming around.

@CarolineFohlin You don't see her touch the officer at 16 seconds in?

@CarolineFohlin No and neither do you because that did not happen. Here is a larger copy of the video — there is no evidence of her touching anyone:
