Your brain doesn't simply record reality - it interprets it. In this video, the Ferris wheel (the large rotating wheel seen at amusement parks) can appear to spin in two different directions even though the image never changes. This happens because the brain is a prediction machine. Your visual cortex receives the same visual information, but the prefrontal cortex helps decide how to interpret the motion. If you focus on one cabin and imagine it moving the opposite way, your brain can flip the direction of the wheel. Nothing in the video changes - only your brain's prediction does. Here’s how, starting at the bottom —Lateral occipital gyrus It down at the bottom in the occipital lobe & lateral—simple one there! —Lingual gyrus It’s at the bottom and in the center, just like your tongue (lingual) is in the center of your mouth —Visual cortex Looks like two evil snake like eyes, staring at you from either side. So if you see eyes, it’s the visual cortex! —Parietal lobules Remember, Lobule and Lateral both start with L, so the lobules are lateral & stacked on each other —Cuneus and precuneus Remever, C is for central, so precuneus and cuneus are central in the midline! Another flyover of a major construction project at Giga Texas, this one Cortex 2.0 where AI training for the Optimus Robot (and possibly some FSD training) is taking lace. The plant is still partially operational with about half of the Megapacks & cooling systems installed while the second half is well under way to be completed later this summer/early fall. Once completed, I expect there to be about 260 Megapacks dedicated just for Cortex 2 operation, while there is already another 72 Megapacks in operation for Cortex 1, located on the south end of the main factory,. Cortex 2 is located just south of the new Optimus 10M/yr run rate factory which itself is under construction, so this is a convenient location for both her at Giga Texas!

It’s also important for coaches to introduce players to basic mental techniques such as self-talk, attentional control, and behavioural techniques to deal with moments of distraction, emotion, and unhelpful thinking (to play mentally skilfully)
