There’s zero reason the HR hitter needs to even run the bases. This should be a rule change. If it’s a HR, just go back to the dugout.

The job of the on deck batter is to point at the plate and be 100% sure that the runner touches home. The biggest fault is with the runner who should touch the middle of the plate instead of celebrating. First things first.

Guys are too busy doing little dances instead of touching home plate. Unbelievable!
