Andy Burnham has styled himself as the champion of devolution. But Labour have just posted a video of him in Cardiff talking to the public where he makes commitments to changes in areas that are devolved to Wales. As Prime Minister he doesn't have the authority to directly change education, housing, business rates or social care. Clearly this is just a two minute video coving a two hour period. TBF at one point he does distinguish the "English social care system". But it's concerning that the man about to lead the UK isn't reflecting the reality of how the UK is governed in his messaging. If Boris Johnson had done something similar when he was Prime Minister, the then Welsh Labour Government would have been apoplectic.

He pledged to lift up the social care workforce through pay and training, saying they should be "the best paid people in society, not the worst". And he blamed politicians for failing, saying he wants cross-party talks to fix this vital issue.
