It must be an absolute shtshow over at Starbucks. It is hard to emphasize this enough: The proposed strategy outlined below by $SBUX’s new CEO - Brian Niccol - undoes EVERY point of emphasis of his predecessor (a former McKinsey partner). Disaster.

Sorry Howard:

Undoing anything by mckinsey is a win

I ain’t gonna argue with that.

They need to fix their pricing - no one is going to go there regularly when grande lattes are almost $8 Nevermind the wait times in the mornings

Even if it’s hard to square “the prices are so high nobody will go” vs “the wait times in the mornings are long,” II somehow agree with the gist of your point:: something about the business approach has unnecessary friction that needs removing.

I wanted to dislike his message based on prejudice. But honestly, I think he's spot on Starbucks has been obsessed with efficiency, understaffed cafés and overwhelmed them with Mobile Order & Pay His message is simple - help the baristas, focus on human connection - I like it

he looks like Justin trudeaus brother

Fidel Ángel Castro Díaz-Balart?

What can be, unburdened by what has been…
