I don't know why White women bother with having these hairstyles done, but you can tell that the braider did it as tight as possible to maximise pain. And the OP and the commenters support that theory. They just enjoy inflicting pain. It's who they are. And they're not going to change just because you're nice to them, so stop trying. Don't be friendly to them. Don't buy anything from their businesses. Don't pay pay for their services. Just disengage from them entirely.

On behalf of the government and the people of Plateau State, I appreciate UNICEF for their swift response and the interest they have shown in the calamity that has befallen us, their intervention has given us hope. As a government we will continue to collaborate with all our international partners and make sure we maximize all the services they can render to our people. I also pleaded with them to ensure the people return to their communities by providing things that make life easier to the community like water,education as we start the program of ‘return to the community’. I appreciate them for coming and I look forward to collaborating more with our international partners.

I know in recent days I have told you guys that I have no idea how these jurors can't see the obvious answer right in front of them. After giving it some thought, we have spent a GENERATION of women k*lling their children in the womb and calling it 'healthcare'. Are we really surprised that a jury of women, with statistically 25%-30% of them having k*lled THEIR OWN child in the womb at some point, can't convict a mother who k*lled her own children? The kids didn't get a mistrial, the kids don't get a second chance. This case does FAR DEEPER than just Lindsay Clancy. It shines a light on how far from God our society has gotten.

As a Christian, I don't see how a Muslim girl wearing a hijab in our institutions ‘offends’ Christian ethos. It doesn’t. What offends Christian ethos is the intolerance and subtle religious superiority that drives preventing them. In fact, Christianity, in its original Middle Eastern context, also expected women to veil. It is why Catholic nuns and women visiting the Pope must veil. So let’s not pretend that veiling became anti-Christian simply because Muslims preserved the practice generally, and we didn’t. #tolerance
