Microsoft is testing a new feature in Windows 11 called Low Latency Profile that gives a short boost to your CPU for 1 to 3 seconds when you open apps or menus. Early tests show Microsoft apps like Edge and Outlook open up to 40% faster, while the Start menu and other menus can load up to 70% faster, with CPU use jumping high for a few seconds then dropping right back down. Microsoft says this is normal because Apple does it in macOS and Linux, plus phones use the same type of quick CPU boosts for better speed. The feature is only in early Insider testing now, so it is not out for everyone yet.

Pro-tip: use a token budget when using /goal in the Codex CLI This is an experimental feature we're exploring, you might have to enable the flag. Ask Codex to do it for you.

It's happening! Here's your first look at a movable taskbar in Windows 11, coming soon. You'll be able to move and resize the taskbar on Windows 11, just like you did on Windows 10! It's still in internal testing, and to be clear, this video is from a virtual machine, which is why it might feel slow. Also, Microsoft won't use the right-click menu we're seeing in the video; it's only being used to quickly debug the feature. What else do you want Microsoft to improve in Windows 11? 👇

NEW QUEST TAB IS IN DEVELOPMENT 🔥 It seems to copy the format of the locker and item shop where you can scroll all your quests at once or use the side tabs to jump to specific sets... #Fortnite | vial 🩵Nova💫

🐤 Android Canary 2609 is here with a preview of a highly requested security feature: A global lock for Quick Settings! (As usual, Canary is highly experimental & not recommended for daily use!) With this new setting, you can require your device to be unlocked to toggle certain Quick Settings. When enabled, your phone must be unlocked to toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, & Airplane Mode. Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock or Settings > Display & touch > Lock screen to enable it. Please test this feature and tell us your thoughts!

ChatGPT macOS just updated. Ultra is gone from the effort slider. You have to go into settings to enable it, or set it up through Advanced mode. Codex did the same thing.

I recreated the Vision Pro reality dial on my Quest 3 app and it looks AMAZING! Should this be an OS feature? Pillow 🌙 🛏️ 🌈😄

In Unreal Engine 5.8, you can now easily set a node to development only or disabled via the right click menu. This a nice quality of life feature to enable by default, as it was previous hidden on an unassigned shortcut or experimental checkbox

Little peek at the new settings UI for Bauhaus Clock. Clear hierarchy. More delightful to use. Can’t wait for you to try it.

Running at Max settings on my M5 Pro, went from 45 FPS to 70 FPS 🚀 Biggest win was updating FFT to use WebGPU workgroup memory. I have a few more optimizations I want to investigate but will deploy updated versions later this week.

POV: I am your boss in hot high heels and I notice that you are more and more unfocused at work because you can only stare at my feet. I make use of that and show you what happens to you if you do not do what I say!

Watters: In high school, I had to march up to the top of it and I got all the way to the crown and I wanted to go to the torch and they said the torch was closed because it is under construction. Why would they give us something that was so shoddy?
