South Dakota is taking unprecedented action to help tribes with their law enforcement needs and keep their people safe. In addition to hosting the first ever state tribal law enforcement training academy, I am also announcing that I am hosting the first ever Tribal Public Safety Crisis Summit in Pierre on June 24. We are inviting both elected leaders and law enforcement at the state, tribal, federal, and local level. It is my hope tribal leadership will take the opportunity to work with me to be an example of how cooperation is better for all our people.

Greg Abbott says the state stands firmly behind law enforcement, highlighting a law that would cut state funding to cities that defund their police departments. The measure sends a clear message that Texas is committed to supporting law enforcement and public safety.

On Monday, Director Kerner and Colonel Howze went to the legislature to express their concerns about the legislature's immigration bill. They asked for changes, including removing provisions that limited communication and coordination between state and local law enforcement agencies and federal partners, but this did not occur. This type of language in the bill creates vulnerabilities that could compromise officer safety and that will ultimately hinder the mission of illegal immigration enforcement. The legislature's bill does not consider critical operational needs that support law enforcement. Unfortunately, the legislature did not coordinate or communicate with our law enforcement agency while drafting their bill.

The number one priority of the state is to keep people safe. Local law enforcement will continue to do that long after federal agents go on to the next place.

Bondi: Whether it's a public official, whether it's a law enforcement officer, no one is above the law in this state or in this country. People will be held accountable. This state is a mess right now. We have seen the chaos, and it's constant. Our men and women in law enforcement deserve to be safe and that's what we're going to do in Minnesota.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors took a first vote Tuesday to ban law enforcement from wearing masks. A second vote is needed and will happen December 9. If approved, it would ban local, state, and federal law enforcement from wearing masks in LA. Supremacy Clause of the Constitution says otherwise, as far as federal law enforcement is concerned. (ABC7)

With this new capability, our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners will soon be able to receive real-time, unclassified intelligence from ODNI’s National Counterterrorism Center that can be immediately actioned to keep the American people safe. @NCTCKent

I want to thank all members of parliament for passing my bill – now officially a law, as I have just signed the document. The text will be published immediately. This is a guarantee of the proper independent functioning of Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies and all law enforcement agencies. It ensures the absence of any external influence or interference, including through regular polygraph checks for all law enforcement personnel who have access to state secrets or have relatives in Russia. This is the right decision. It is very important that the state listens to public opinion. That it hears its citizens. Ukraine is a democracy – without a doubt.
