they did not account for the jet fuel of a loaded and fueled 757 that would ignight fires that would burn at very high temperatures and would ultimately cause that strong and sturdy structure to melt and fall down upon itself.

But jet fuel burn in open pools at 800-1000°C and steel loose half its strength at 600°C and 96% of its strength at 1000°C. This would at least cause local steel beams to bend and crumble. The fire protection on the steel would probably have been destroyed by the impact.

Live load is very different from shock load. Things that can be considered live load, are furniture, partitions and of course people. Shock loading, which occurred upon impact, is a very different stress. Once the beams failed, the intact floors above shock loaded to the ground.
