I saw Steve Augeri singing with Tyketto and thought he sounded very much like Steve Perry, so wasn’t surprised to see him end up in Journey. Arnel can sing well but his enunciation is not good and that kind of ruins it for me.

IMHO when at his peak he was better than Arnel. The Arrival album they did with him was on a par with Perry Journey. It’s a shame he had vocal issues that led to him leaving.
