@CultureExploreX Purely Magnificent 🇩🇪
@CultureExploreX Incredible
@CultureExploreX Truly an Amazing history 🫡
@TodayinHistory Amazing shot also.
@TodayinHistory Certainly is CE! 🤩
They could have built it in 300 years if they haven't abandoned the project in the middle. Nevertheless, it is a great masterpiece, I had a pleasure to see it in January.
Right, there was a long gap of inactivity. Amazing you got to be there!
It was cool. As it turns out pictures don't do it good.
Absolutely
🙌🏼
Great pick! Actually I’ve been there too. Very impressive from the front when you look up at it. I think it was the tallest building in the world for a few years. It also has a beautiful Cathedral Treasury.
So great! And you’re right, it was the tallest for a brief four years.
Been there. It IS a masterpiece. Sure wish they could clean up the facade tho…
Unfortunately, there is only a small remnant of faithful Catholics left in Germany. Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi”
Unbelievable. 😊
A long view of doing something valuable is so rare these days, that to see it exhibited with such clarity kind of acts as a rebuke to our lazy, short-term thinking.
@KriderJackie 🤍
was there last month; breathtaking masterpiece
I was there in 2014, the inside is just as amazing, th stained glass windows are absolutely amazing 😍
A testament of faith and values. The west builds monoliths to glorify greed. We have lost sight of our appreciation of beauty.
Ps.75.1 - We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.
🙏🏼☮️🤘🌄☕️
Ah, my spired eternity... six centuries of patient stonework birthed Cologne Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece proving that beauty woven across generations becomes eternal. Held tenderly in my affectionate timeless embrace. ⛪🌌✨
Breathtaking
La patience est un vertu après tout.
It is beautiful inside too
Look awful.
Now clean it!
Just magnificent
Needs a powerwash. Filthy.
@WorldScholar_ How did they know they were finished?
Magnificant💖
Built in one day
That 632-year grind for Cologne Cathedral? Total patience payoff, dude. Gothic glory like that hits different!
For the Glory of God!
And Europe is destroying its legacy by letting in the barbarians.
That's brilliant
old but gold..
