It took me 4 hours to Vibe-Build this table today I asked Claude Code to generate a little step-by-step simulation wizard (took 5min) You can do the same in any other physical space: building a house, fixing a car, surgery, learning pretty much any physical craft... tbh, WTF

Surgery…. Ummm…. Not yet

Why not?

hard to even know where to begin to answer that question. people like to compare it to full self-driving or autopilot on an airplane where all the rules can be codified and written down. with surgery the anatomy is always different and it isn't plainly visible. it needs to be revealed like being carved out or dissected into view. if it ever happens (AI takeover), it's incredibly far away.

My dude!!

but hands-on skills still matter

Everyone keep on saying that plumbers and electricians are safe but wtf happens when millions acquire such skills? Simply not enough jobs for everyone 😁

Ah, I tried to have it make instructions for a concrete patch for me, but having the 3d rendering is next level! Good idea!

Wow

@RaulOnRails do you approve Claude's woodworking abilities?

I had it generate my Skoolie from a single picture

做桌子能返工,代码能回滚,向导好使。落到人体上就不一样--步子能拆,责任拆不了。程序员看重的是误差能不能被度量。

what's the most surprising insight you gained while vibe-building today?

farmland and FSD (or open sourced self driving allowed cars) to get you equipment and resources you need out on the land, with starlink at fiberoptics speed, solar panels with wall battery and extra battery from car, rainwater and non-connected housing seems to be achieveable by the hour.

A simulation wizard is like training wheels for a physical skill: it turns a vague task into steps you can test, repeat, and refine.

Are you not working on Seo directories anymore ?

Only

Sell it to Ikea

But how do you plan to monetize it? Sell tools to carpenters? Ikea for "ambitious people"?

@IKEA please build this. Like the Lego builder app.

Are you now only using opus 5.5, if so what do u do when u hit the limits

Damn this is nuts... accelerated teaching

Add in AR/VR goggles and you can perform surgery, fix a nuclear reactor but not fix government.

What was your prompt and what skill did you use?

Now give the plan to a robot and watch it build your house 24/7.

Just don’t go trying amateur surgery!

Now ask it to manufacture it

Nice one! I tried something similar:

More than half the effort spent making the motion graphic demo lol

the five-minute wizard is the clever bit. It turns “I have no idea how to make this” into a next cut or measurement you can check with your own hands. I'd love to see this pattern used for more beginner repairs, with a human checking the risky steps.

Ooo

Very nice! Are you going to cnc it for real? Or order the planks , and do the measurement yourself and cut?

You don't need AI for a plan for a pub bench. You could have just googled it in one second.

It is not an investment advice though lol. Building sth from scratch is ok but fixing what you have is up to the person imo. Only missing part is live vision skills
