Piers, this is what I find so strange about tonight’s show. You correctly said October 7 should be condemned “unreservedly and loudly.” Yet on the anniversary itself, you made Zionism, divisions among Jews and the entire Gaza war the centerpiece of the discussion. There is plenty of time to debate all of that. Today could simply have been about remembering the people murdered, kidnapped and brutalized on October 7. Sometimes remembrance doesn’t need a counterpoint.
