I’m glad she remained consistent in her response. She didn’t change her stance based on how people reacted - because they came for her real bad.

I certainly agree with her identifying as “Black American” since the term “African American”, which originally referred to transatlantic slave descendants, has been appropriated.

I just wanna throw this out there, If a Zebra, from Africa is brought into America on display at a zoo for a long period of time, mates with another Zebra, presumably from Africa but was 'domestically American', has a calf, born in that zoo, does this calf get designated as a 'American Zebra' or is it an African Zebra still? Your native to lands but your DNA don't lie. Your lineage is determined by your roots... Not your feelings of when you wanna cut them off.
