I only contributed a small portion of the overall animation (30-ish seconds) but I truly hope my contribution honored Monty’s legacy. Fireflies glow. So does plankton in a breaking wave. Both come from the same small molecule: a square of two carbon and two oxygen atoms that breaks apart and gives off light. Researchers at Stanford found that if you pull on that square instead of heating it, it breaks in the opposite order from what everyone expected. The carbon bond goes first, then the oxygen. It still emits light, just by a route nobody knew was there. That opens the door to materials that glow to warn you before they crack. We made the animation for the press release: This animation shows a pulling force, indicated by arrows, applied to a molecule of bis(adamantly)-1,2-dioxetane. The strain breaks the carbon–carbon bond (in gray) of the core structure. I'm an artist, and for a long time now, my work has been about catching viral words and cultural moments that define our time and turning them into art. The idea for "Special Slop" has been brewing in my mind for a while, but it was waiting for the final push. That push came when the word "SLOP" was named the word of the year. That's when everything clicked, and I knew it was time. So, "Special Slop" is my art project where I explore this theme through crypto tools. Here is Noelia Castillo Ramos with her father only a few years back. Smiling. Happy. Loved. The government in Spain betrayed her 3 times. First, when they took her by force from her parents and put her in a government center. Over “financial troubles.” Second, when they allegedly allowed dangerous illegals into the country and did nothing to prevent it or stop them while they gang r*per her. Third, when they convinced her euthanasia was the best option and made her feel like there was no turning back. Even convincing her and her family that her organs were already compromised after the decision was made. We don't know if that part is really true, but it is difficult to believe or understand since she has been living for years after the injury she sustained jumping from the 5th story of the government center. It is difficult to think about, but she is likely taking her last breaths as I type this. Still praying for a miracle, but unfortunately, we are at the scheduled time. They planned to start the process 39 minutes ago, meaning she is already potentially in an induced coma, as the toxins that are designed to stop her from breathing begin to be administered. She should be alive and well right now and maybe even starting a family of her own. Instead, she is in a hospital all alone for what is scheduled to be the last moments of her life. Regardless of what happens, please pray for her.

Was watching a Charlie video about a streamer (Morgpie) and noticed she used the Me!Me!Me! Girl as the dono notif animation. Humans are stupid to a fascinating degree. We will warn ourselves of mistakes then not only completely ignore them, but use said warning to promote what the message was AGAINST. "History repeats itself" is always talked about but what's never mentioned is how we predetermine our future too. Look at A.I and the way that's going, how many pieces of Scifi have warned us about corporations running the future or the dangers of it yet here we are with A.I "art" in games and advertisements. We try to prevent ourselves from making future mistakes and what happens? We happily ignore them until it's too late then cry and wonder how we got here.

I began my art journey in 2002 as a mature student, applying to Leith School of Art for their portfolio preparation year and then to Edinburgh College of Art for the 5 year MA Fine Art program. I was 38 years old at my graduation. My classmates called me 'Grandpa Jones', seriously. 😂 I spent the next 7 years working 3 or 4 jobs/100+ hours a week (waitering, art tutoring, charity director, Airbnb host) so I could pay for my very expensive painting habit and paint enough for an annual solo exhibition (that I had to organise and pay for myself for most of them as no commercial galleries were interested in QR code/AR tech infused paintings)... and every year but one I lost money. I was my accountants biggest loser over and over and over. 😅 So, from 32 to nearly 50 years old with my art career being a horrendous detriment to my financial future I questioned my life decisions... daily. But I never gave up. In fact, it was the opposite. With every rejection letter, with every let down and disappointment, with every financial loss, with every exhibition that didn't sell enough to even cover the costs of paint, canvas and framing, I pushed even harder. I worked even harder. I looked for new ways to differentiate myself from all the other artists around me and I invested everything I had into me and my future. Fortune favours the brave. If you're willing to put in the time, the work and the risk you will be rewarded. It may take 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or more but eventually, if you keep working and taking the risks that the rest are not willing to take (creatively and financially) you will succeed. Don't blame others for your failure. Take the knock backs, take the disappointments, take the rejections, and use them to drive you. If you are willing and able to commit 100% for however long it takes, you will succeed. This is a fact and I'm proof of that. Stop listening to the FUD, stop listening to those who don't believe in you. Show them how wrong they are. Again, it may take years, even decades, but fortune favours the bold and this is undeniable. Will you give up or will you keep pushing, learning, growing, expanding your ideas and your creative output? Kaidro has always been about the steady growth and long term play in the development of the intellectual property. Before launching the web 3 elements through out 2024 with 4 successful NFT launches, Kaidro had another lifetime in web 2 with the growth of the story and audience through the online manga on Webtoons exactly 4 years ago in 2020. We as the creators spent a good decade developing the world, storylines, art, and design as well as sharing the world alongside our audience of over 1+ million followers on TikTok. Since then, Kaidro has grown beyond a manga series to NFTs, an ARPG game, web game, audiobooks, merch, future animation and now the upcoming $KDR token. All of which onboard more and more champions in the Kaidro world. Along the way, we have been able to invite our audience into the universe by getting involved in it, whether it be voice acting, drawn into the mangas, voting on designs or making up their own designs. It’s web 2 and web 3 working together to bring the universe to the masses. This is just the beginning of the journey of Kaidro. There are those who discover the manga on Webtoons, there are those who found Kaidro on the Steam games page, and many of those who joined us through the Kaidro NFT collections. That is the beauty of the Kaidro community, people can come together and relate to one another on the various forms of the story and world. Token Generation Event for $KDR is coming fast and we want talk about what there is to know. The total number of tokens is 100,000,000, FDV of 55M with an initial circulating supply at TGE of ~17M tokens. We will be listing on the Katana DEX and Bitmart as our first CEX. The future is bright and we have been in talks with multiple CEXs to list $KDR. $KDR will have many utilities, from eligibility to become a producer in the Kaidro animation series get Kaidro NFTs, obtain battle passes on the Kaidro game and to receive exclusive in-game items, and more to come. Starting with the planned FDV continues our belief of accessibility to the largest audience possible to grow along with. Much like our approach with the free Journal NFT mint which minted 350,000+ journals to the free mangas that have garnered over 2 million readers, to the free ARPG game that have tens of thousands of Steam Wishlists. We must continue to be accessible to those who show interest in Kaidro. Historically from wide exposure there are a good percentage of those who want to dive deeper into Kaidro. Those who obtain the NFTs, the physical mangas, listen to the audiobook, the merch, and now the upcoming $KDR tokens. Our goal has and always will be to onboard more people to Kaidro and the next biggest expansion which will be the animation series that we are working with Tim Hedrick (Writer and Executive Producer known for Avatar: Last Airbender & Korra) and the full Kaidro: Clan Battles game launch. The unlimited ability to reach many more people through a streaming series and a fully published game. We continue steady on our journey to the building and the spread of the Kaidro universe. This was officially my last MCS tournament of my career. This play was ruled "play on" because the admin said "we only intervene in critical circumstances, and we decided not to here". For a recap.... Last tournament I legally blocked a kick. Used a designated blocker, got the animation, timed the block, and blocked it. They intervened then and said I had to recreate. Must have been a "critical" moment. Last year I was in quarter 3 of my second round game because my first opponent didn't show up. I was told by an admin my opponent showed up and I had to quit out of my game and replay my first one or I'd be dq'd from the tournament even though my first opponent was 45 minutes late. I have been told by an admin the following... "If its easy to block a fg, just do it again" After I explained my blocked kick was perfectly within the rules, I asked which rule they were abiding by and they said "EA has the right to tell you to recreate, no questions ask" The admins in the MCS tourneys are the most incompetent human beings they could possibly have "running" the tournament. They don't understand the game, they don't interact with people well, they are extremely inconsistent, and they frankly suck at what they do. I built a clone of the Yeezy store with Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?
