Piers. Jesus. Please. “Once he ESTABLISHED who he was.” Really?? So some screaming lunatic who barges into a room and starts aggressively approaching a Cabinet Member just has to say “I’m a Senator” and it’s ESTABLISHED in that very second that he’s who he says he is? The Secret Service is just supposed to let him get next to the Secretary?? Shut it.

@piersmorgan @TriciaOhio Secret Service was just doing their job—protect the principal, period. If Padilla was getting too close, that’s on him. Agree with @CarterVanceUSA that optics matter, but security can’t play nice when things get heated.
