Yes, it will be soon a question of regulation. At what point are you not responsible for the car actions? Because if i drive a Tesla on autopilot for 1 year and he never fails, but he disengages 5 sec before a collision on a situation where there is no visibility, am i liable?

We cant compete on its field of vision, accuracy with depth perception, awareness uptime, our reaction time is horrendous. On top of this, behavioral uniformity will be huge, like nobody passing anyone else because everyone goes at same speed, definitely no passing on left

This is the attention to detail Tesla puts into the Cybertruck doors so it doesn’t unintentionally cut your fingers off. Remember these doors are super heavy and it could be dangerous if it closed on anyone’s finger. So what does Tesla do? Right when you open it, special levers are enabled to make it impossible for you to immediately close it. So after you open the door, you have to pull the door further out and then it will allow you to close it. These little things that are really a big deal, are what separates a Tesla from the rest, especially when it comes to safety.

Bc Tesla has everything integrated from AI training to hardware to real-world data, and Optimus is powered by the same FSD tech that’s already mastering real-world autonomy. No other company is this vertically integrated, it’s just that Tesla makes it look easy.

These people have no idea Tesla Robotaxis are about to eat Waymo’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 1/ Waymo loses $ on every ride. Tesla Robotaxis will be very profitable. 2/ Waymo needs expensive LiDAR and clunky sensors. Tesla uses only vision and a neural net, just like humans. 3/ Waymo has 1,500 cars. Tesla can scale to millions quickly, 8M+ vehicles is the current fleet size. 4/ Waymo isn’t vertically integrated, they rely on other automakers. Tesla builds the hardware, the software, and the AI, all under one roof. 5/ Waymo looks like a science experiment. Tesla looks like the future. By the time people start to realize what’s happening, it’ll already be too late. This will be a winner-take-all market, and I can confidently say that Tesla Robotaxis will be #1.
