Yes, it will be soon a question of regulation. At what point are you not responsible for the car actions? Because if i drive a Tesla on autopilot for 1 year and he never fails, but he disengages 5 sec before a collision on a situation where there is no visibility, am i liable?

We cant compete on its field of vision, accuracy with depth perception, awareness uptime, our reaction time is horrendous. On top of this, behavioral uniformity will be huge, like nobody passing anyone else because everyone goes at same speed, definitely no passing on left

This is the attention to detail Tesla puts into the Cybertruck doors so it doesn’t unintentionally cut your fingers off. Remember these doors are super heavy and it could be dangerous if it closed on anyone’s finger. So what does Tesla do? Right when you open it, special levers are enabled to make it impossible for you to immediately close it. So after you open the door, you have to pull the door further out and then it will allow you to close it. These little things that are really a big deal, are what separates a Tesla from the rest, especially when it comes to safety.

We would increase our headcount, to be clear. But we would increase our output. The units produced per human… The total number of humans at Tesla will increase, but the output of robots and cars will increase disproportionately. The number of cars and robots produced per human will increase dramatically, but the number of humans will increase as well.”

Bc Tesla has everything integrated from AI training to hardware to real-world data, and Optimus is powered by the same FSD tech that’s already mastering real-world autonomy. No other company is this vertically integrated, it’s just that Tesla makes it look easy.

In 2019, Elon said HW3 was enough for Full Self-Driving. Seven years later, it needs to be Supervised by a human due to safety concerns. Tesla calls it Full Self-Driving Supervised, because they know it will make dangerous maneuvers at any given moment.

How will competitors ever keep up with Tesla? Difficult to see them catching up any time soon.
