@Kevin_Maguire There should be at least 376 backbenchers rising up in revolt, not meekly following Starmer like sheep.

@Kevin_Maguire It’s outrageous that Starmer would push for something as cruel as cutting the winter fuel allowance, especially with vulnerable people depending on it. No wonder 40 Labour MPs are ready to rebel—this decision is heartless and indefensible, and it’ll tear the party apart.

@Kevin_Maguire I am incensed about it. Labour MPs need to have the balls to say no, not abstain.

I never understand how these politicians can sit in a room and make these ridiculous choices and think “we have to take these tough choices” What about the tough choices on the oil and gas firms and the super wealthy like King Charles with his 58m 46% pay rise. A 0.5% additional tax on the wealthy won’t even be noticed why not that? So stupid, brain dead and lacking in intelligence. If they want to stop the tax on wealthy pensioners they have to find a better way to not give them the money. Maybe change it so people apply for it rather than make it automatic?

@Kevin_Maguire Plenty money for immigrants, who get fed 3 times a day, & hotel accommodation. Money for the war in Ukraine, money for overseas projects. The list is endless, an absolute disgrace to people who paid into a system most of their lives.
