If No Autopsy Is Done Procedural Violation: Failing to perform an autopsy in such a case could itself be a violation of law, potentially subjecting officials to administrative or even legal challenges. Prosecution Problems: Without an autopsy, the cause and manner of death are not medically certified. Evidence like bullet trajectory, wound analysis, toxicology, and time of death may be missing.
