Yeah I saw a couple episodes and the play-out was so full of tropes. Spoilers- black bf is back in the UK for the white daughter-girlboss, the dad’s morally questionable, the white son’s weak and inept. Did Netflix write it for you, or are you all just from Melbourne?

Turned it off after 20 minutes, over acted stereo types and it could have been so much better. Such a shame.

Is this more soap opera than historical fiction? And I hope there’s no retrospective woke themes or messages. 1957 was Australia during the white Australia policy so it better be accurate and honest however confronting it may be.
