It’s 2025 & yes, Africans still struggle to visit each other but let’s be honest about why. The issue is not Africans visiting one another legally, it’s the unchecked illegal immigration that’s the real problem. How do you expect to achieve a borderless Africa funded by one country’s taxpayers? That’s not unity but exploitation. Before we preach ‘African unity’ because of shared skin colour, we must first hold accountable those so called Africans who come into other African countries & commit crimes, overload public services, abuse hospitality & then cry ‘xenophobia’ when people speak out. If more people like you used their platforms to push for accountability, truth & reform not just romantic slogans maybe Africa would be a better place but instead, we avoid reality. We have 54 countries on this continent & most are collapsing under the weight of corruption, mismanagement & weak leadership & their citizens are fleeing instead of fixing what’s broken at home. No African country can carry the burden of other nation’s citizens without its own people suffering. So no the issue is not “struggling to visit each other” the issue is abusing borders, systems & people while calling it unity. Let's build a better Africa by first holding the bad apples accountable whether they’re in our country or not.

Africans often show tolerance to Europeans but struggle to extend the same to their fellow countrymen.

It’s wild, isn’t it? In 2025, it’s still easier (and sometimes cheaper) to fly to Europe than to visit the country next door in Africa. Visa walls, expensive flights, poor connectivity, all self-inflicted hurdles on a continent that preaches Pan-Africanism but practices bureaucracy.

I was harassed by togolese immigration officers crossing the togolese border from Ghana (Aflao). And i ended up being assaulted by thieves as soon as i crossed ...they took my money no one came to rescue i meant it all happened in front of togolese immigration ...

Tanzania government needs to do better. Their immigration worship Chinese, arab and Europe people like God But Ghania, Nigerian and Burundi people I might have met at the Dar es Salaam airport suffered at the hands of those immigration officials. Why do we hate our fellow black?

I just left the Ghana/Ivory border. They said unless i pay 5,000 francs, they wouldn’t stamp my passport. I had no choice than to pay. It is the same at every border, Nigeria to Benin, Benin to Togo, Togo to Ghana, now Ghana to Ivory Coast.

You people are not really thinking. What reputation have we built as Africans? How many African countries are stable? How do you track who came in and who didn’t? Until African countries reach a certain stage in development this will just spread destruction.

We Africans are our own problems. Very painful to see that we as Africans can connect with each other freely. They don't want us to get it right but they are lieing. One day we definitely get it right. Africa 🌍 will be great one day.. just sooner than we expected
