I liked the remake a lot but Ada's VA sucked ass. And she was a little feminist crybaby bitch about it too. "Muh racism and sexism" you get from any minority doing a shit job.

That "I wonder what has them so riled up" part just sounded so wooden. Sounded like she was reading the script out loud.

I don't mind new wesker. But yeah ada genuinely sounds like she phoned in 80% of her lines from a pay phone.

The AI mod to replace her voice sounds more human than the voice actress.

But she's Asian so that's all really matters. Sure, she may sound like SIRI on ambien, but she is Asian.

I honestly think it's worse than the OG va. Where the old voice lines had just bad dialogue and overacting, she sounds like she's literally just reading the page and not even trying.

Haven't played it yet. I will probably mod it. I read there are some good voice mods for her. Total mod saturation.

Minagawa Junko however is great and has always voiced Ada in Japanese (and is the voice of female Shikikan in Girls Frontline 2)

Capcom needs to get rid of that VA. Say what you want about the remakes, all the VAs ranged from good to fantastic... all of them but her. How the flying hell did her absolute ASS performance slip through the cracks?

What's more annoying is when people try to shift the blame on the voice director which did a great job with Leon and Ashley. Lily was the only one that was in Welcome To Raccoon City, which was a glorified SyFy original movie.

The thing is, I've seen Lily Gao in shows like The Expanse that show she's a decent actor, and there are moments where her delivery is fine. I don't know whether it was the direction or her inexperience with voice acting, but something went wrong.

Wesker is great because Capcom had no self-awareness of how cheesy he was, and as a result he wrapped back around to being actually cool. Having him reference memes in his dialogue does the opposite.
