Lover of theology, and I agree with her...makes a lot of sense as you traverse cultures a& continent that we create a supreme judge to give us the kind of justice we want. I like to put it this way Man created god in his own image.

Makes sense. Probably why certain tribes whose economic activities are diverse e.g. Yoruba people, have multiple gods to take care of different aspects. Division of labor among the gods.

Did a course that taught something similar. This is right for most of it. Even the anthropomorphic nature of these gods are usually similar to those in the region. “If horses had gods, they’d be horses too and they didn’t pray to them for hay and stamina”. It’s a great watch.

@DavidHundeyin She brought out a good argument there and well thought out, but what her argument failed to address is, why do humans is all those societies create a god? If the existence of a god sprung out of man’s inability to tackle certain things that are beyond his/her control, why a god?

@DavidHundeyin it’s a result of asking questions (wanting to understand phenomena) and not knowing how to go about understanding the answer OR better yet, not understanding the question they’re asking or what kind of answer they’re expecting it so they just ascribe it to the god of the gaps
