There are a million openly gay veterans. There are 65,000 openly gay active service-members. Freedom from the tyranny of bigotry is as American as apple pie. Anyone who oppresses the rights of Americans is themselves the problem—not the victim or the hero.

The government is supposed to represent all of us (lol) and should maintain a position of neutrality on divisive social issues. Placing any flag of ideology on a government building is absurd.

Hate to burst your bubble Graham but the fact is that our service members have fought and died to protect the freedoms of ALL Americans, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. To suggest otherwise is not only disrespectful to their sacrifice, but also ignores the ongoing struggle for civil rights and equal treatment under the law that they fought to defend. It's time to recognize that every American deserves the right to be who they are, love who they choose, and enjoy the same freedoms and protections under the law. So fuck your feelings.

You make an interesting point that nobody has fought for the rainbow 🌈 flag … but just stop hating on Gay and Trans and then our Government won’t feel they need to fly the Gay flag! Embrace folk ! Our Government is in no way telling you to be Gay so let it go …when you hate on things you literally amplify it !
