It’s a really poor reflection on NFL owners that there were seven openings this year, Bill Belichick wanted to work, and couldn’t find a job.

No, it isn't. Bill wasn't willing to change how he did things, so no one wanted to sign up for that.

1) Terrible talent evaluator. 2) Couldn't conform to the "new" NFL. 3) Will take getting even personally over the good of the team. 4) Took the Pat's down a black hole the last 3 years. 5) Left an organization with a potential 3 to 5 year rebuild. Should cover BB & why no job.

@AdamSchefter When will we realize that the majority of owners don’t care about winning? The NFL for so many is a side business. With the revenue sharing model they don’t need to win. The money never stops flowing in. Why spend more cash?

@AdamSchefter He wasn't successful without Brady.

@AdamSchefter How is that a poor reflection on owners? His style didn’t fit what they’re looking for. It’s a really poor reflection on businesses when I want to work for them but they won’t hire me. Sure I don’t have the skills they’re looking for. But I want to work for them!!!

It’s not Bill the HC owners didn’t want to hire, it’s Bill the GM. That’s also what got him fired from NE. If he just wants to be a HC, he’s hired immediately. If he wants total control I think he’ll struggle…

83-104 without Brady probably had something to do with it. Except the Chargers none of those teams had a franchise QB much less a GOAT.
His last 4 yrs of drafting/roster building, post TB, left the Pats as a laughingstock. WHY would any team sign him for a short team fix?????????

Anybody with his record without Tom Brady would have been fired ages ago.

I think BB is the best HC of all time - but there is a bit more to it than to just say he wanted to work and couldn't find a job. Bill wanted CONTROL, and this year owners and/or GMs were not willing to give that up.
