For all the ignorant people to destroy the natural cooling barrier God created for our dogs? That fur keeps them warm in the winter and COOL in the summer. Shaving it off is counterproductive... STOP.

Lucky you, I have a husky, so no shave, brush 3 times a day for 3 weeks now, and she's still shedding everywhere 😭

What do you mean "this time of the year"? You ppl don't take your yorkies to the groomer regularly? Every 8 to 10 weeks?

Never knew a professional groomer to clip against the grain...but I'm old school... 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

When I lived in Arizona, I shaved my border collie like an idiot. I thought it would keep her cooler. Never shave your dogs. The hair actually keeps them cooler. Plus they’ll get a sunburn.

I wonder if they be knowing what’s going on. Like do they think to themselves, “Yeahhhh I’m about to be less furry 😎”

That's right, shave their hair off and then dress them up like dollies. That's why people really do this, it's about dress ups. Shaving isn't at all in the dog's best interest unless its coat has matted fur.

@thewriterme Just did that to my Schnauzer she was suffocating. Now the high Tuesday is like 20 next week. Guess it's sweeter time and she doesn't like them either.

Why TH would you do that to a Yorkie? We live where it gets very hot and very humid. They do not need shaved down like that. Shaving is not good for their hair - they have hair, not fur.
