Only a revolution can save this country. We need 2million people to occupy Asorock, National Assembly and government houses.

What is wrong is wrong. You cannot claim insecurity as a reason because no part of the country is secured!

What we need now, are discreet cameras to record these checkpoints with timestamp and location? That's amazing content to start with. If anyone has the resources, let them start. You can get vehicle cams and microphones to record and report these bad events.

We need to speak up in the East over this treatment the subject our people to. Enough of that rubbish. It's all about hatred the security has for our people.

The Igbo politicians are the problem. They don't fight for their people they are only interested in what they will get from Abuja.

Similar issues occurred during Obasanjo’s regime in Abia and Anambra, with the underlying motive being to mentally subdue the region and its people for reasons that still remain unclear. I see no other explanation for the hundreds of roadblocks in the East compared to the minimal presence in other regions, including the troubled North-East and North-Central. To this day, the South-East remains the most heavily policed region in Nigeria, with numerous roadblocks extending from Benin-Asaba Road to the South-East and South-South regions. Unfortunately, by enabling and supporting criminal elements who disguise themselves as freedom fighters, we once again played into the hands of those who want this status quo to persist, just as happened with Uwazurike’s MASSOB. There should be a debate on this issue, with all stakeholders coming together to find a lasting solution. Otherwise, our children will continue to face the same chain of roadblock challenges.

This is totally unacceptable. South East is the only place where police and military create different rules for citizens of this country. Our Governors too are not concerned about the unfortunate norm. We will resist this oppression if it continues.
