100%. My bio mother, Native American, was the first in her family, to not be born either on a reservation, or prior to relocation, just on traditional homelands. She spent a lot of time with family on the reservation and you know what...they lived incredibly simple. They were "poor" by society's standards, but happy. Many still lived in a tipi, or if they were fancy, they might have built a tar-paper shack. They lived largely off the land, made their own clothes and built whatever else they might need. No electricity, no running water or HVAC...again, most people today wouldn't want to live this way, but they were happy, debt free, had little to no use for money and were living like their parents, parents before and so on had for generations.
