🎥 It’s all about willingness.

My man @RickEckstein57 is spot on. Putting together a @USABaseball roster is very difficult when you’re choosing from a talented pool of players such as USA does each and every year. When you’re putting together a roster to win a gold medal, it’s crucial that the staff gets the right players - not just the most talented players. I remember playing in the gold medal game in 2013 against Japan where @brysonbrigman started at 3B for us and @jflare_ found himself on the bench. JFlare could have pouted and been all about himself, but he was on the top step helping B with certain hitters and fully engaged in the game doing all he could to help us win gold - even if he wasn’t starting the biggest game of his life up to that point. He later came into the game and can be found at the top of the dog pile picture below (# 9). Being a part of USA Baseball is special. You’re no longer playing for you. You’re representing an entire country and willing to do whatever it takes to help your team win a gold medal.

Ability to expand your role! Love it 🔥

They are blessed to have Rick!
