Aké deserved a proper send-off from the fans, just like Bernardo and Stonesy. I get it, maybe there was a chance he could've stayed, so things weren't certain. Maybe at the time he didn't have offers lined up like the other two. But I really wish the club could do something for him. He was the most consistent defender in terms of performances whenever he was fit and available. A centre-back who slotted in at left-back during that Treble season when Pep switched to playing centre-backs as full-backs and pushed Stones into midfield. Reliable, composed, never complained. Leaves with my full respect. Always will. 🩵

It is disappointing that Amorim still hasn’t changed the biggest concern in his model. I don’t see enough upside to justify the trade-off. Amorim continues to push the central center back, De Winter or Gabbia, into midfield from goal kicks. It hasn’t generated any meaningful advantage. Instead, it forces the wingbacks deeper because the wide center backs are narrower, leaving Milan without width on the last line in deep buildup and making them easier to press. A much better solution would be using the 4-2-5, with the keeper alongside the central center back and the wide center backs going wider. This would allow Milan to maintain constant width with the wingbacks high while creating more space in the buildup. The issue carries into settled possession. Because the wingbacks start deeper, they have to travel from deep to high once Milan exit deep buildup, making it easier for the opposition to trap them in wide areas and jump aggressively. This hasn’t caused Amorim as many problems as it did in England, primarily because Milan have a much greater qualitative advantage over most of their opposition than United did.

Today, we inaugurated our new Aesthetic Wing at KIMS, Gachibowli Hyd. After being associated with KIMS for several years, it is wonderful to finally have a dedicated space for Aesthetic care, bringing together Urogynecology, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Bariatric Surgery and Dermatology under one Aesthetics wing. Something we had been looking forward to for a long time, and it is finally here. Looking forward to what we build together and, as always, to giving our patients the very best care.
