Now it would be interesting to know, if the properties that were destroyed,belonged to the native People of Maui only,or if just that section of Maui was totally wiped off the map.

Looks pretty typical for high wind fires. Densely built communities have greater destruction because once one building catches the heat from it punches through windows and ignites the next building. Major issue for these at risk communities. Cities want more houses per block for property tax purposes but it increases the risks of many adjacent structure fires. Palm fronds don't help either. The catch fire,land next to a building and the wind just keeps feeding it.
