Shocker. A Democrat is raising taxes. It’s what they do. This won’t be the last time either.

As a former Nashvillian, I would have been excited to have this discussion 10-20 years ago and see the benefits while I lived there. As a frequent visitor, I know I'll benefit anyway whenever I'm in town. In any case, I'm so glad this discussion is happening now. Thank you Mayor!

Increase sales tax. Follow that up with increased property tax. Homeowners insurance rising and covering less. Auto insurance going up because of all the uninsured drivers and car theft. And you want us to stay. The people that can afford to leave will be the ones to leave.

This plan does not do that and is throwing good money after bad.
