🤔 Fun fact: The iconic bassline that opens the song is actually an artistic "theft" from the post-punk band 23 Skidoo. The duo took the bassline from a track called "Coup" and processed it so heavily it ended up sounding like an industrial monster. Plus, the voice shouting "Back with another one of those block rockin' beats" belongs to rapper Schoolly D, who didn't even know he was being sampled until he heard the song playing on every radio station worldwide. Did you know? 🤯

Still sounds fresh! SASH! is still the record holder in the UK for the most no.2 singles without achieving a no.1 song. Stay is my personal favourite SASH! tune.

I remember one NYE pulling up to a place with a group of friends and when we got out of the car to go into the place I heard this type of music coming from a DIFFERENT place … needless to say I did a reverse and disappeared into the building that had the music I liked … I hope my friends had a good time that night, as well. 😅
