🗣️ "It's been a real positive week. Sometimes it becomes short-term pain for long-term gain. I want to make sure the recruitment is the best it can possibly be. Hopefully, there'll be a few new faces by the end of next week." Darrell's update: #TRFC #SWA

The Strait of #Hormuz is still closed. It's day 115 now. We're almost at four months. Remember when they said it was going to be a few days, maybe a few weeks? It's just going to be little short term pain for some long term gain. Well, it's been four months of short term pain. In these "peace" negotiations they keep talking about the US giving Iran $300 billion. Never in history has the winner of a war been required to pay $300 billion to the loser as part of winning. This is all part of #Agenda2030 to stop people from driving, stop people from flying, cut off the fertilizer and depopulate the earth with massive famines... And, it'll go as long as they plan for it to go. That's it. That's all you need to know.

Q: "You were quoted as saying in an interview earlier this week that, 'It was worth a bit of economic pain for international security.' Is that this administration's message to American voters with high gas prices ahead of the midterms this year?" Bessent: "The message is the short-term volatility for long-term gain."

President Donald Trump’s decision to impose tariffs around the world has sent the global economy into a meltdown. Will his bets pay off? Is the short-term pain going to be worth the long-term gain? Or will it hurt the US economy to a point of no return?

The XRP Ledger has done it right to not distribute XRP into circulation via the consensus. Setting it up for long term stability with short term distribution challenges. Opposite to Bitcoin. It uses PoW to also distribute the supply into circulation. This makes BTC very expensive with long term challenges but with the short term supply distribution advantage. Because distribution is only a short term challenge, long term stability is always the better choice. The next years for Bitcoin will be very interesting as they need to address challenges they got but prioritizing the short term advantages.

Rick Rule: Gold will do well over the long term, but expect short-term volatility. In the short term, as a consequence of the Iran war: - Countries have to sell gold to fund domestic needs - Higher interest rates make the USD more attractive vs gold In the long term: - The US can't afford high rates - Debt-to-GDP is too high - Deficits are surging Which will result in massive money printing and a severe loss of purchasing power for the USD in the coming years, reminiscent of the 70s, which will be bullish for gold and other hard assets. Short term pain, long term gain

It's an engineered global sovereign debt crisis. It has been planned to hit right when AI is ready to replace 50% of us. Short-term pain of a deflationary crisis to take all the debt out of circulation & possibly eliminating populations, followed by a new industrial revolution.

A lack of confidence can destroy your success. 📉 Fear forces short-term, panic decisions. You need unshakable confidence to be able to sit for the long term and realize maximum gain. #Mindset #Roppelreport

Kyle Reidhead (Kyle Reidhead | Milk Road) explains why he agrees with David Hoffman in the short term and disagrees in the long term: "David's article: Ethereum is going to be great, but ETH won't be any good. I disagree with that. But I agree with it in the short term." "ETH is $250 billion, ridiculous for what's done on it today. Short term: HYPE is a better bet." "Long term: ETH is probably the best bet on the crypto ecosystem. Agentic payments, tokenization, treasuries, stocks onchain. Ethereum benefits. ETH has a place. We just need a lot more onchain first."

Peter Thiel on how to think about the future “What you end up doing when you think of the future as indefinite is you pick a job that will be good on your resume because it will then lead to a different job later on.” Instead of viewing the future as indefinite, Thiel suggests that the students in the audience think of the future on three horizons: short term, medium term, and long term. And he defines them as follows: 1. Short term = Are you going to be happy and will you be learning a lot? 2. Medium term = How good is it on your resume? 3. Long term = Are you working on something important or meaningful? “I think we are in a skewed world where we overweight the medium term, and we underweight some combination of the short term and the long term.” Thiel recommends recalibrating it to: “Focus on some combination of short term and long term. And forget about the medium term.” Video source: Radical Discourse (2014)

Peter Thiel on how you should think about your future: "What you end up doing when you think of the future as indefinite is you pick a job that you think will look good on your resume, because it will lead to a different job later on. There's even a credentialing version where you go to grad school, you get a consulting job, and you think of it as this branching tree diagram where you never really do something that you want to do. You can think of the future on three horizons. Very short-term is: are you going to be happy, and will you be learning a lot? Medium-term is: how good is it on your resume? And very long-term is: are you working on something important or meaningful? We're in a skewed world where we overweight the medium-term and underweight some combination of the short-term and the long-term. I would recalibrate to focus on the short-term and the long-term, and forget about the medium-term."
