Never been more impressed with the way an AU head coach commanded a room quite like I witnessed out of Golesh today. From the way he carries himself to his ability to communicate his vision & standard of excellence, it’s clear to see why players love ‘em & would go to war for ‘em

🔥 Shedeur Visiting Coach Prime. TJ Spot On "You see Prime's face? That's his son. When you see your children, it just brings a smile to your face, an energy inside. Why would I want to stay in Cleveland?"

"You see the outpouring of support from [Sean McDermott's] former players on his leadership and the impact he made on their lives. That's the sign of a great head coach ... He needs to be a head coach again in this cycle." Ryan Fitzpatrick takes a second to recognize how great of a coach Sean McDermott was for the Buffalo Bills.

Not sure how many of you noticed this, but all I see here is a happy, proud son with a heartfelt smile on his face. No idea what was going on in KTR’s mind at that moment, but that smile, when he saw the love from the cadre who had waited for hours just to catch a sight of KCR garu, was priceless! ❤️

JJ Mandaquit is heading to the University of Washington. He discussed his relationship with head coach Danny Sprinkle with ESPN. JJ Mandaquit “The relationship I had with the staff made all the difference. I had a great connection with head coach Danny Sprinkle. We are very close and have a lot of trust. There must be trust on both sides for it to work. The head coach has to trust his point guard, and as a point guard, you have to trust your head coach. It’s a great fit.” I see some John Stockton in his game. SportsCenter NEXT

Y’all should watch this ad from Tim Walz when he ran for Congress years ago. This was the message he ran with to start his political career. Coach. Teacher. Veteran. It’s a great ad about a great guy. Still holds up. #HarrisWalz2024

Doc Rivers reveals he once got into a heated argument with Pat Riley that taught him one of the biggest lessons of his career: never coach people for who they are today, but push them toward who they can become “Coach Pat Riley, when I was playing for the Knicks, Coach Riley and I had the biggest argument in my entire playing career. I know all you players thought, you know, I used to go at coaches too.” “And during the shouting match, Coach looked at me and said, ‘One day, when you’re a head coach, and you will be one, you’re going to understand exactly where I’m coming from.’” “And I literally yelled back at him, ‘Are you crazy? I am never going to coach. Every coach that I know, they’re nuts.’ Well, I want to tell Coach Riley thank you for being right on all accounts.” “And one of the lessons he told me was to never coach a person for who they are today, but to push them to who they should be someday. That was very important for me.”

Iman Shumpert on getting traded from the Knicks to play with LeBron James and the Cavaliers: “In New York, you felt like they love the Knicks in Cleveland. You knew you play with LeBron. I wish I could sugarcoat it. I can’t. It’s that simple. It’s not even a strict program because Bron, to his point, to give him credit to his point he made the other night, he is a 41 year old kid. They say you act exactly how you act when they handed you money. You could tell LeBron got paid at 17. It’s the reason that he that cold because he think like a child. Like, when you was 17, I’m sure you probably was like, it’s like before you get to college and they break you where it’s like that creative mindset where you like, but why coach? We could just do this. And it’s like the coach explain it to you and then you stop like even questioning the coach. You like, let me just go out here and do what I’m supposed to do, handle my business, make sure we win, and then boom, I want to climb up the ranks. I don’t want them looking at me like that. Bron went at 17 while he was still curious.” (Via Out The Mud Podcast)

Kelsey on how they’ve poured into Caitlin: “We partied yesterday… it’s good to see her smile… she’s been through a lot… and it’s important for us to make sure that she still feels felt, heard, and seen… we as teammates want to make sure that she feels connected to us all weekend… Shout out to you, C, for just being a good person, being here, being present… being a great captain.” ❤️‍🩹

I know following Nick Saban as head coach is difficult, but it’s not about his aura. It’s about his actual production. When he got to LSU he wasn’t the Nick Saban we know now. He was a former Michigan State head coach who took a job in a great place that didn’t have great players. He turned that program into the best job in the world. He did the same for Bama. Thats what you have to live up to. That’s what Kalen DeBoer is dealing with now! #FirstTake #KalenDeBoer #NickSaban #CollegeFootballPlayoffs

Something I have come to know & love about Coach Ott this season, is he will always make sure his players are prepared for HOW they want to win. Not just in the latest W but let's take a look at how (& who 👀) PHX attacked down the stretch vs OKC....

Doc Rivers HOF speech: "When I was playing for the Knicks, Coach Pat Riley & I had the biggest argument in my entire playing career "Jeff Van Gundy told me years later he was standing outside the door…thinking he may have to come in if he heard furniture moving "Finally during the shouting match Coach looked at me and said: 'One day when you're a head coach––and you will be one (he was screaming at me) you WILL be one––you're gonna understand exactly where I'm coming from' "And I literally yelled back at him: 'Are you crazy? Less than a year in the game & I’ve made connections to work with some great people in the industry. It’s been a blessing to finally find something I love after being retired from football due to injuries. This is only the beginning I want to thank god for all his blessings.
