It's been two weeks since I connected Trump's Acting Attorney General with Epstein survivors and they haven't heard a peep from the DOJ. That's disgraceful. Todd Blanche said he'd meet with them—and I will not let him off the hook. Epstein survivors deserve justice.

As Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche took questions from lawmakers Wednesday, Jeffrey Epstein survivor Dani Bensky said she and other survivors "have so many questions" regarding the Justice Department's missed redactions in released Epstein files and the prison transfer of the convicted partner of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell. Bensky will be a witness for the Democrats at Blanche's Thursday confirmation hearing, and told CBS News' Nikole Killion she doesn't believe "survivors in this country will feel safe with him at the helm."

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) pressed acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on whether he would meet with Epstein survivors within the next 30 days. Blanche pledged to make a member of his staff available to meet with them, but he would not commit to personally doing so. "I have never said I will not meet with survivors," Blanche said as he appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation hearing, adding that he is "prohibited from meeting directly with them." "I think you ought to be in the room because you ought to hear this. You had singular responsibility for these files," Durbin said.

Take a look at this statement issued by a group of Epstein survivors. It says, “Attorney General Pam Bondi failed survivors. Under her leadership, the Department of Justice mishandled the release of the Epstein files, leaving millions of pages withheld from the public. While serious redaction errors exposed survivors’ identities.” The pressure will continue.

Unfortunately, Attorney General Pamela Bondi is breaking the law. Epstein survivors aren't satisfied with the DOJ's incomplete and redacted Epstein files disclosures, and neither am I. Congress should assert its ability to hold Bondi in "inherent contempt" to get justice for the survivors.

I just got off a Zoom call with some of the Epstein survivors. The way the DOJ has handled the release of these files is absolutely horrific. Victims' names have been released, they are being retraumatized, and the DOJ is saying they won't investigate further. We need justice for these survivors.
