Its being reported that Netanyahus office leaked and fabricated documents to undermine negotiations for a ceasefire & release of hostages But for the last year we've been repeatedly told (by the US especially) that Israel was ready to sign a deal & it was Hamas that was refusing

And what made people believe that Netanyahu was open to any hostage deal before the release of these documents?

Hamas offered a peace deal in May that Netenyahu turned down, because it meant ending the war. 'The Hamas proposal calls for an end to the war, which is a red line for Netanyahu, a senior American official told CNN.'

It is almost as though you can't trust a word that comes out of the US or Israeli governments...

@Concreteisland2 Haim Rubenstein - the guy leading the group trying to bring the hostages home - he resigned in frustration at Netanyahu stopping so many deals. This was over 6 months ago.

The fact that BibiC are reporting this has made me hopeful that Robbie Gibbs position as overseer of impartiality is both weakening and untenable given the documents were leaked to his paper the Jewish Chronicle

They lie and they lie and they lie……..

Israel / Netanyahu has only been prepared to sign a deal on the basis that Hamas no longer exists. One that enables a continuation of IDF occupation to facilitate ethnic cleansing & genocide.

I'd've thought murdering the chief negotiator's family and then the chief negotiator, might be taken as a sign they weren't interested in negotiating.

Jews lie all the time.
