My ideal idea is, so to speak, a ‘compulsory year’. This period of service for everyone – both women and men. During this year, everyone can choose for themselves whether to join the Bundeswehr, the technical assistance service, a church organization, or, for example, work in hospitals – what used to be called alternative civilian service.’ - SK
