To be honest though he shouldn’t have mentioned Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne is also a mask for Batman according to Batman. Batman is the real persona.

He’s wrong and I think that might be the point. Clark is Kal-El’s true identity, Superman is the costume he puts on to protect humans, who he views as his own people.

Quentin is an idiot if he thinks Spider-man need his costume to be Spider-man. He has proved again and again he is that hero, the costume just hides his identity to keep people close to him safe.
