It's criminally unknown that Darkness Among Us trailer was originally going to reveal Ghost Face in December 2018. Ghost Face would eventually release that following June for the 3rd anniversary. It's probable it was meant to be earlier but got delayed thus the scene removed.

And no, this wasn't teasing just a Ghost Face cosmetic for The Legion. They were pretty deep into production on the actual Ghost Face Killer by the point this was storyboarded.

Is this implying Ghost Face would have been a skin for Legion? The whole X with the tools seems to indicate so. Or at the least a legendary skin.

Legendary skins didn't exist until two years after Darkness Among Us released It was just a teaser/reveal for the license/Killer of Ghost Face, not a cosmetic for Legion

I wonder if they were planning to develop on this further but proceeded to drop it when the character got leaked. Like imagine the world where BHVR reuploaded DAU trailer with some explaination bs reason being mentioned a day or two in advance, just for it to have a new scene.

Just like Ghost, Tariq was juggling multiple issues during this period of Power. He was navigating the court case around Yasmin, his drug operation with the Tejada's, evading Law Enforcement & more. The pressure was on. But the arrest was a huge pivot and shift for Tariq's character, where he received the letter from Ghost. But the letter was more than just words on a piece of paper. It was Ghost being prepared and foreseeing Tariq's future/failures long before his own death... It was showing how Tariq, despite him killing Ghost to escape his influence, he still couldn't outrun a Ghost, in this instance his father. The letter as a masterful reminder that some moves are eternal. The only key ingredient that was missing, was Omari Hardwick voiceover during the scene, which would have showed how Ghost was truly haunting Tariq.

Something we need to learn more about in Power Origins. The how & why of why Ghost killed Breeze. However, that's not all. This conversation also highlights another interesting dynamic, relationship and question. If Ghost was able to kill Breeze, someone who he loved like a brother. Why wasn't he able to do the same with Kanan? Kanan was there for him when his pops died, but it's clear there was a lot of love between Kanan and Ghost in Power Origins. Ghost would have looked up to Kanan, but the same question still stands. Even though their brotherly love was genuine, how much of it was through manipulation?
