The loss of two police officers and the wounding of another in my home state of Victoria is an unfathomable tragedy. We mourn their loss. It's a reminder that for police and their families, they carry a daily burden in their jobs that most of us simply don’t carry – which is the possibility that the routine becomes the tragic. And for that, we are truly grateful.

So just to be clear here, Corey Ruiz stabbed a cop. It's on video and activist are pretending that he was completely innocent and did nothing wrong. He's been convicted 40 times, 25 of those serious crimes. Why are we even listening to these people or allowing them to bully an entire city. They're patently wrong. It's all so tiresome. If you or I grabbed that mic over things we cared deeply about, that officer would arrest us yet he lets activist control the community. Where is the backbone here to tell the truth?

My heart is so heavy💔A friend of a friend has lost an 18-year-old to suicide… a quiet, deeply painful loss that didn’t make headlines but matters just as much. And then, innocent children taken in such a brutal act of violence in a place that should have been safe for them. It’s all just too much. No family should ever have to endure this kind of pain. These people are uncouth, ignorant and too uneducated to understand the stupidity and cruelty of their Afrophobia. Only an idiot would tell another African to “Voetsek”. Only a fool would refer to fellow Africans with derogatory slurs such as “Kwerekwere”. And only a clown would defend such hateful behaviour. “Voetsek” is an Afrikaans word traditionally used to chase away dogs. The deliberate choice of that word to address fellow Africans is therefore not accidental, it is a deliberate act of dehumanisation. That said, these clowns do not represent South Africa and should never be used to define South Africans as a whole. The overwhelming majority of South Africans are decent, cultured and measured in how they treat others. It would be unfair and inaccurate to judge an entire nation by the actions of a hateful minority. These are fools, and every country has them! Only a fool would openly utter such hurtful words!
